Dressing a Legend

To celebrate the Panton Chair’s 50th anniversary, Vitra (UK) held a design competition in which entrants were asked to interpret the legendary chair in whatever way they saw fit. Gensler London’s Lindsay Roth and Angela Richards’ creative and colorful chair caught the eye of the judging panel, and was one of 10 entries selected for auction at a high-profile anniversary party at Saatchi gallery.

The chairs are wrapped in balloons. And the balloons are the original colors the Panton Chair came in.
